Neway International are seeking an Interim Technology & Servicing Manager to join our client based with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council (Vision Products).
Location: Vision Products
Hours: 37 per week
Start Date: asap in an ongoing contract.
About the Client
Vision Products is a specialist service within Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, supplying, installing, and servicing community equipment such as chairs, bath lifts, hoists, beds, and other assistive technology. The service plays a vital role in supporting vulnerable residents to live safely and independently. Due to long‑term sickness, the team requires an experienced interim manager to maintain operational continuity and lead a busy, multi‑disciplinary department.
The Role
The Interim Technology & Servicing Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day management of the Technology and Servicing Department, ensuring the effective delivery of installation, servicing, logistics, and administrative functions. You will lead teams across engineering, assistive technology, administration, and fleet/stock operations, ensuring high standards of service, safety, and efficiency.
This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring strong organisational skills, technical understanding, and the ability to manage people, resources, and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Technology & Servicing Department, including engineering, assistive technology, admin staff, vehicles, and stock.
Oversee the supply, installation, and servicing of community equipment.
Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations across all service areas.
Maintain effective communication across teams and stakeholders.
Monitor workloads, prioritise tasks, and ensure deadlines are met.
Support staff development and promote a positive team culture.
Ensure adherence to Health & Safety principles and safe working practices.
Oversee stock management, logistics, and resource allocation.
Contribute to service improvement and operational planning.
Candidate Requirements
Strong management and leadership experience.
Background in engineering (electrical or mechanical) or logistics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities.
Good time‑management and organisational skills.
Knowledge of Health & Safety principles.
Experience using databases and basic IT systems.
Full driving licence (advantageous).
Team‑focused approach with the ability to motivate and support staff.
