Summary
As a Health Care Assistant, you will assist the healthcare practitioner to carry out routine health related activities to complete personal care and activities of daily living ensuring patient lead focused care.
You will provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and carers, supporting holistic care in partnership with the multidisciplinary team.
• Support personal development and contribute to service improvement.
• Promote health, safety, and security for self and others.
• Maintain quality and patient safety through responsible actions.
• Carry out routine assessments, adapt care within set parameters, and report progress to senior staff.
• Assist in delivering care plans to support patients’ health and well-being.
• Work flexibly, including unsociable hours, to meet service needs.
• Perform delegated tasks accurately and responsibly.
• Support patients with personal care, including bathing, toileting, eating, and drinking.
• Assist with patient mobility using appropriate equipment.
• Record and share accurate information promptly with the team.
• Identify and report changes in patients’ conditions.
• Obtain consent before providing care and respect patients’ privacy, dignity, and beliefs.
• Prepare and support patients during care activities.
• Alert the team to any changes in health or potential risks.

Changes to the UK immigration policy introduced on the 9th April 2025, increased the minimum salary threshold for certificates of sponsorship applications for Health and Care Worker Visa from £23,200 (£11.90 per hour) to £25,000 (£12.82 per hour).
