Summary

A PA is required for a 38year old man who is a Rugby League fan (Hull KR) and all things sports/exercise mad, a family man with two young boys, requiring support through the week with daily living & activities.

He is looking for a PA who is reliable and trustworthy, outgoing with similar interests.

He likes a good laugh and someone to have a brew with. We are looking for this person to integrate well and become part of our lives.

We are looking at the hours 9-3 Monday to Friday and someone willing to support with things like:
- taking him to appointments / activities (he has acupuncture, attends motion rehab gym, massage therapy, etc)
- preparing and feeding meals
- administering medication
- support with any exercise / stretches
- personal care (washing (potentially), dressing and toilet needs)

He is participating in many treatments and trials for MND, he has a really positive outlook and participates in lots of fundraising.

The PA will need to have an awareness of MND, be trained and be confident in safe movement and handling. Also, applicants must be trained or willing to be trained in: Gastrostomy care (RIG feeding and maintenance), Nutricia (likely referring to nutritional support products or feeding systems), Non-invasive ventilation, Cough assist techniques and Suctioning procedures.

Owing to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory checking report from the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of which will be met by the local authority.
