If you are an experienced professional in Operational Resilience and Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management, this is a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation. The newly created role of Resilience and Crisis Manager at Saga Plc offers the chance to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Business Continuity Management programme, ensuring the organisation's preparedness for disruptive incidents and regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders and operational teams within diverse sectors, including travel, financial services and publishing, to deliver robust Business Impact Assessments and practical, scalable Business Continuity Plans. Your role will be pivotal in shaping Saga’s resilience strategy, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of preparedness and proactive risk management throughout the business.

We are seeking candidates with a strong track record in business continuity, crisis response, and operational resilience. We work in a hybrid way at Saga both at home and in the office. This role requires you to be working from our Folkestone office roughly twice a month, allowing us to collaborate and share success as a business.

Main Responsibilities

As our Resilience and Crisis Manager you will be responsible for developing, embedding, and maintaining the Business Continuity Management Framework across the Saga Group.

Other accountabilities will include:

• Contributing to the identification and assessment of risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, providing specialist insight to support decision‑making.

• Supporting the development of Crisis Management Plans, including specific contingency plans, playbooks, and procedures for severe yet plausible scenarios across the Group.

• Developing, coordinating, and supporting the implementation and testing of Disaster Recovery plans.

• Embedding supply chain resilience by assessing and supporting the resilience of critical suppliers and third parties, in alignment with wider supplier risk management processes.

• Developing and delivering training, testing, and exercising to support resilience activities to a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Supporting the development and embedding of Organisational Resilience Standards across the Group, assessing and reviewing alignment.

• Establishing highly effective and collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, including business partners, external third parties, and other stakeholders.

• Supporting internal and external audit and assurance activities related to resilience.

• Responding to incidents, crises, and business disruptions, supporting the established response structure, providing specialist advice and guidance, including out-of-hours as required.

• Conducting post-incident reviews and lessons learned processes, ensuring that findings are captured, shared with relevant stakeholders, and embedded into plans, frameworks, and training.


The Ideal Candidate

As our new Resilience and Crisis Manager you will have proven experience working across resilience disciplines such as business continuity, incident and crisis management, disaster recovery, technology resilience, and supplier/third-party management.

Other experience required includes:

• Experience developing, implementing, or maintaining business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management frameworks

• Experience presenting clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.

• Experience applying analytical approaches to assess risks, impacts, and vulnerabilities, and communicate insights clearly.

• Experience delivering training, testing, exercise and simulations.

• Experience working with or supporting resilience governance, risk, audit, compliance, and technology teams.

• Demonstrated understanding of resilience concepts, good practice frameworks, regulations, and standards.

• Experience working with supply chain or third-party resilience requirements and controls
