Job Title: Live-in Carer

Location: Colchester, Essex

Responsible to: Coordinator

Salary: £1,256.43 per week

Hours: 24-hour care (Two weeks on, two weeks off)

£300 WELCOME BONUS FOR NEW JOINERS (PAYABLE AFTER 3 MONTHS)

Forest Homecare is recruiting a Live-in Support Worker to support clients with learning disabilities in Colchester, Essex. No experience is necessary as full paid training is provided.

You will be part of an established family-run care agency that operates throughout Essex & Suffolk.

Being a Live-in Carer is a role where you are providing high-quality care and support to adults in their own homes, promoting choice and independence with respect and dignity. You will be required to assist the Service User to fulfill a valued life both within their own home and within the local community.

Your main duties will include:

The role of the Live-In carer will involve supporting individuals with a wide range of activities including access to vocational, educational, and social activities.
Support Service User's with their medication
Supporting with home-related tasks as well as general day-to-day activities as required by the service user to meet their desired outcomes and needs.
Ensuring the Service User’s home is hygienically clean - assisting with general housework - vacuuming, dusting, organizing, and cleaning the bathroom & kitchen.
In addition to this, some of the individuals that we support may require assistance and prompt with aspects of their personal care.

Essential:

Have a naturally caring and compassionate nature
Be reliable and honest
Understand the importance of maintaining our Service Users’ dignity and respect
Excellent verbal and written communication
No previous experience is required as we provide full training (previous experience working with people with mental health or learning disabilities would be preferred)
You must be a good listener with excellent communication skills.
You must hold a FULL UK driving license and have access to your own car.
