Experienced Veterinary Surgeon – GP Vet
Wirral, Merseyside | Independent Small Animal Practice | Up to £75,000 DOE
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (GP Vet) to join a progressive, independently owned small animal practice on the Wirral. This role is ideally suited to a confident vet with a minimum of 5 years’ experience who enjoys proactive, preventative veterinary care and working up cases using diagnostics.
The Practice
Founded on the Wirral in 2016, this independent clinic was established with a clear mission: to deliver the highest standards of patient and client care. Since opening in 2017, the practice has expanded significantly in 2018, 2020 and 2022, allowing continued investment in facilities, equipment and clinical excellence.
The practice is exceptionally well equipped, featuring:
• Full in-house laboratory
• Advanced imaging, including CT
• Endoscopy and arthroscopy
• Multiple operating theatres
• Dedicated dental suite and hospitalisation facilities
The clinical team includes RCVS Advanced Practitioners in Surgery, Cardiology and Small Animal Practice, alongside an RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine. This creates an ideal environment for a GP vet interested in managing complex cases and developing within a referral-style setting while remaining in first-opinion practice.
