Crynodeb
We are looking for a practical, reliable Maintenance Worker to support the day‑to‑day upkeep of our dementia‑specialist residential home. You will ensure the building, equipment, and grounds remain safe, well‑maintained, and welcoming for our residents, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out daily maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, touch‑ups, and general upkeep
Respond promptly to repair requests and safety concerns
Complete basic plumbing, joinery, painting, and small DIY tasks
Conduct routine checks (fire safety equipment, lighting, water temperatures, etc.)
Maintain external areas, including paths, gardens, and waste management
Liaise with external contractors and support planned maintenance visits
Keep accurate maintenance logs and follow health & safety procedures
Ensure the home remains safe, compliant, and in good working order
About You
Practical, hands‑on experience in maintenance or a similar role
Confident completing basic repairs independently
Good understanding of health & safety in a care environment
Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks
Friendly, respectful, and comfortable working around older adults
Full UK driving licence desirable
