Summary
Senior Care Assistant – Dementia Residential Home (22 Residents)
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our dementia‑specialist residential home. You will lead shifts, support up to 22 residents, and ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care, support with daily living, and meaningful engagement
Administer medication safely and complete accurate records
Lead and support the care team, ensuring safe staffing and effective handovers
Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report concerns promptly
Uphold safeguarding, dignity, and CQC standards at all times
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and professionals
Qualifications & Experience
Level 3 Health & Social Care (or working towards) preferred
Experience in dementia care essential
Medication training/competency desirable
Strong communication and leadership skills
Personal Qualities
Compassionate, reliable, and confident in decision‑making
Able to remain calm and supportive during busy or challenging situations
Committed to high standards and person‑centred care
