Location: One Avenue
Hours: 37 hours per week
Start/End Time: 08:45–17:15
Pay Rate: £30.41 PAYE / £41.42 Umbrella

The Role
The Team Manager will lead a team of social workers and practitioners within the Children with Disabilities service. You will oversee complex casework, ensure statutory compliance, and drive high standards of practice. The role requires strong leadership, effective resource management, and the ability to work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and support a team of social workers and practitioners.

Oversee complex casework and ensure high‑quality, timely decision‑making.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, policies, and best‑practice standards.

Promote effective multi‑agency working to support children with disabilities and their families.

Allocate resources efficiently and monitor team performance.

Drive continuous improvement and contribute to service development.

Maintain accurate records and ensure robust safeguarding practice.

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration.

Proven experience managing or supervising social care teams.

Strong understanding of statutory responsibilities within Children’s Services.

Experience working with children with disabilities and complex needs.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.

Enhanced DBS and full compliance documentation required (CV, Criminal Convictions Declaration, Confidentiality Agreement, 5 Years References, DBS Summary).
