We are an independent garage, established in 2011, carrying out servicing and repairs. We also are a MOT station (class1, 2 4, 5 and 7). We work on all makes of vehicle up to 3.5 tonne
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality service while ensuring customer satisfaction. The Vehicle Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs
Perform maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre replacements
Utilise schematics to understand vehicle systems and troubleshoot problems effectively
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for repairs and assembly tasks
Carry out equipment repair and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
Assist customers by providing clear explanations of repairs needed and services offered
Perform heavy lifting as required during the repair process
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow and improve service delivery
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Ability to read and interpret schematics for various vehicle systems
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
Experience in assembly tasks related to vehicle components
Capability to perform heavy lifting as part of the repair process
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Training to be a MOT tester for the successful candidate
