UPPER KS2 TEACHER REQUIRED
GRADE: M1-M6
RESPONSIBLE TO: SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM
START DATE: 28/08/2026
We are looking to recruit a committed KS2 class teacher for Autumn 2026. Come and join our successful, two form entry primary school in Wimbledon. Please note our Autumn term starts on 28th August (inset days), this is due to having an extended October half term.
We have a wonderful school community, based upon a Christian ethos with children who are excited by learning.
We have a dedicated staff team and offer the opportunity for you to further your own professional development. In the past three years, we have offered CPD with Merton LA, the S.D.B.E. and Brunel University. We are committed to ‘growing our own’ leaders and can offer ongoing CPD opportunities.
Visits to the school are highly recommended.
CLASS TEACHER MAIN ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
A teacher must:
Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
Plan and teach well-structured lessons
Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
Make accurate and productive use of assessment
Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
Fulfil wider professional responsibilities
Have a high level of personal and professional conduct
Teachers must have proper and professional regard for the ethos, policies and practices of the school in which they teach, and maintain high standards in their own attendance and punctuality.
As with all staff – an individual responsibility to safeguard all pupils:
• To safeguard children both inside and outside of school; following school policies and procedures to ensure all pupils are safe, happy and healthy.
• To understand personal duties in relation to safeguarding, e.g. Prevent, CSE and FGM. To use directed time to become familiar with key documents, e.g., KCSIE, school documents relating to the reporting of safeguarding concerns.
• To report all safeguarding concerns using the correct mechanism in a timely fashion.
