About the Role

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in fostering the educational and personal growth of primary-aged children. Whether you are helping with general class activities, offering bespoke 1:1 assistance, or leading small groups, your involvement will be essential to pupil achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to facilitate the delivery of inspiring lessons.

  • Offer dedicated 1:1 or small-group interventions for pupils requiring extra academic help.

  • Support effective classroom management to ensure a constructive and calm learning atmosphere.

  • Provide tailored assistance to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) as required.

  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of educational resources and equipment.

  • Participate in school-wide events, functions, and parent-teacher consultations.

✅ Requirements
  • Prior experience working with children, ideally within a primary education setting.

  • A patient, nurturing, and encouraging temperament when supporting young learners.

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.

  • A high degree of flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive mindset.

  • Relevant childcare or education certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

  • An unwavering commitment to safeguarding and child welfare (an enhanced DBS check is essential).
