Female Support Worker Weekends - Friday to Sunday, Supported Living.
30 hours per week. Various 10-14 hour shifts, both days and nights. £12.71 per hour.
An exciting opportunity to join the DOVE Project’s expanding Supported Living Services.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and flexible individual to join our team of Support Workers to provide exceptional person-centred, caring and safe support.
This service is designed to provide innovative, person centred and outcome focused support for young people with a range of disabilities accessing Respite and Enabling support within our adapted property in Plympton.
You will support the service users with:
Personal hygiene, laundry and cleaning.
Meal planning, shopping, safe cooking and healthy eating.
Budgeting and finances.
Accessing the community; visiting Garden Centres, Parks, Aquarium visits and more.
Activities such as arts and crafts and more.
Medication and attending medical appointments.
Daily living skills and maintaining relationships with their family and friends.
Implement day to day of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
Possible wheelchair users - lifting and moving and handling equipment involved.
Complex care: PEG / NG feeding, medication, suctioning, cough assists and oxygen and nebuliser support.
Maintain effective communication and liaison with service user, family and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality.
To maintain accurate notes and records.
Location & Hours:
30 hours per week. Various 10-14 hour shifts, both days and nights. £12.71 per hour. Easily accessible by public transport and free on site parking if you are a driver.
