We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed GP to join our team for 3 sessions per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP looking for part-time work with a practice that values its staff. Both newly qualified and more experienced GP's are welcome to apply. Session Structure:- Standard session: 4 hours 10 minutes (3.5 hours clinical + 40 mins admin) - 15-minute appointments for face to-face consultations - 10-minute appointments for telephone consultations - Manageable patient contacts per session - The existing PA team manage most incoming clinical correspondence (Docman) and most labs, so this will not be required for this role - Home visits may be required from time to time but are generally managed by the Partners Clinical Responsibilities:- Face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations with patients presenting with undifferentiated problems - Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions Align with the Surgery's low controlled drug prescribing approach Support practice performance metrics during routine consultations wherever possible, including opportunistic vaccinations, pulse checks and blood pressure checks (NB. there is full range of HCP-led LTC clinics at the Surgery)- Processing clinical administration including own referrals and some lab results, repeat prescriptions and correspondence (but see above) Contributing to QOF and enhanced service targets - Participation in practice audits and significant event reviews - Attendance at weekly clinical meetings Practice Development: The practice does not currently use the Total Triage model but is monitoring its adoption in other local Surgeries and may transition to it in the future. We will keep all clinical staff informed of any planned changes to our operating model. What makes us different: - A calm, professional working environment - We maintain clear standards and address challenging conduct amongst the patient population to ensure all staff can work productively and enjoy their time at the practice. Very high staff retention - our team stays because they're valued. Regular social events throughout the year (boat trips, evening meals, bake-off competitions, bring-a-dish social lunches, Christmas celebrations) - £50 birthday gift scheme for staff who have completed probation - Modern facilities - all consulting rooms are air-conditioned - Supportive, collaborative working environment - Weekly clinical meetings to discuss cases, latest guidance, and protocols. For informal enquiries or to chat about the role, potential applicants are welcome to contact Dr Mark Steinberg, Managing Partner at westbury.manager@nhs.net. We would be happy to arrange a Teams call or practice visit.
