Contract: Full-time (37 hours per week), 52 weeks per year

Transition Your Healthcare Expertise into the Classroom

Are you a healthcare professional-perhaps a Nurse, Social Worker, or Senior Carer-ready to trade the front line shifts for a chance to inspire the next generation?

We are seeking a passionate individual to join our Health and Social Care faculty. You don't need to be a qualified teacher yet; you just need the industry expertise and the desire to help our students succeed. We believe the best educators are those who have lived the role and can bring real-world experience to the classroom.

The Role

As a Lecturer, you will be the bridge between theory and practice. You won't just be teaching from a textbook; you'll be sharing real-world stories that bring the curriculum to life.

  • Teach & Inspire: Deliver engaging lessons to students eager to enter the nursing and care sectors.

  • Mentor: Guide students through their work placements and career choices.

  • Innovate: Use your industry insights to keep our curriculum current and impactful.

Why Join Us?

We offer a culture that priorities your wellbeing while offering a benefits package that is highly competitive against the private sector:

  • Generous Downtime: 40 days annual leave + Bank Holidays + Christmas closure + a dedicated Wellbeing Day.

  • Unrivalled Pension: Access to the Teachers' Pension Scheme (Employer contribution of 28.68%).

  • Pathways to Teaching: Not qualified to teach? We offer a fully funded Level 5 Learning & Skills Teacher Apprenticeship to get you qualified while you work.

  • True Flexibility: Whether you're balancing caring responsibilities or personal goals, we celebrate flexible working arrangements.

  • Professional Growth: Access to continuous development, including 'back to industry' days to keep your clinical skills sharp.

About You
  • You have a professional background in Nursing, Social Work, or a related Health/Care field.

  • You are an excellent communicator who can simplify complex concepts.

  • You are passionate about shaping the future of the healthcare workforce.

  • (Preferred) A Level 3 qualification or higher in a relevant subject.
