Summary
Manpower are currently seeking Material Supply Operators, to work with our global FMCG client, renowned for brands such as Domestos, Surf and Persil.
The position is based in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral easily accessible by train and car. This is a full-time temporary role following the current shift pattern of 2x12 hour days, 2 x 12-hour nights followed by up to 6 off for an initial 6 week period. Compensation for this role is highly competitive, paying £20.28 per hour on an annualised payment of 37.5 hours per week.
Main Job Purpose:
The Material Supply Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the forklift trucks and warehouse equipment to effectively carrying out various warehouse tasks. The Material Supply Operator must ensure that all goods are moved within the factory areas using the relevant procedures.
Key areas of Accountability:
General
* Maintain excellent internal communications within own team and with other teams via completion of shift logbooks, activity boards and thorough handovers.
* Follow instructions from Leaders to use down time for basic cleaning activities such as training, 5S
* Ensuring cover at all times through working effectively with colleagues in line with site working agreements using line manager as point of escalation if required.
Health, Safety and the Environment
* Ensure Company safety policy, rules and procedures are understood and followed at all times
* Actively contribute to a safety culture and safe working environment through the identification and reporting of health or safety hazards and dangerous situations.
* Take part in regular inspections/audits for good housekeeping and area safety and ensure agreed actions are completed.
Quality
* Support quality checks on site - ensure as appropriate that the labelling, pallet heights, pallet quantities and number of cases are correct and of a high-quality standard and finish by doing a damage check.
* Handle products in accordance with quality procedures and standards to achieve the required product quality targets at minimal waste levels.
Customer Service
* Anticipate and react quickly to problems to avoid impact to customer service.
5S
* Ensure 5S standards are clearly defined and followed.
Autonomous Maintenance
* Highlight any issues with the equipment using the correct procedures (recording the tag database)
* Carry out basic cleaning tasks
* Ensure AM standards are followed.
* Ensure the work area is back to original conditions after maintenance activities.
Training and Development
* All drivers should be at a RTITB standard or should possess a FLT license and must be able to demonstrate that this has ben refreshed in the last 3 years
* Embrace training and development, sharing knowledge with other team members to support overall team development.

Minimum education level
* GCSEs, O-levels or equivalent in Maths, English and Science
* Basic level of computing skills
