About the Role

Sodexo is recruiting a Food Service Assistant (FSA) to support catering operations at the Capgemini Phoenix House site in Telford. This role plays a key part in delivering a safe, efficient, and high-quality food service to employees and visitors.

A Food Service Assistant supports the day-to-day running of the catering operation, working closely with chefs and supervisors to prepare, serve, and present food, maintain hygiene standards, and provide a professional customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve food and beverages in line with service standards and customer requirements.

  • Assist with food preparation, service set-up, and replenishment during service periods.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in service and dining areas.

  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, allergen awareness, and storage procedures.

  • Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

  • Provide a professional and courteous service to customers, clients, and colleagues.

  • Previous experience in food service, catering, or hospitality is required.

  • Good understanding of food hygiene, safety, and allergen awareness.

  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
