St Helen's Primary School is looking for friendly and dependable School Meals Supervisory Assistants (SMSA) to join our lunchtime team on a casual basis. (covering staff shortages)As an SMSA, you will be a vital part of our school community, ensuring our pupils have a safe and happy lunchtime experience. Your main duties will include:
Supervising children in the dining hall, encouraging healthy eating and good table manners.Promoting constructive outdoor play by providing a range of creative and fun activities which are physically active and create a playground environment inclusive of all children.Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of pupils by managing behaviour in line with school policies.
Assisting with basic first aid (training provided) and reporting any incidents.
Setting up and clearing away dining tables and chairs.
We are looking for someone who:
Enjoys working with children and has a patient, caring nature.
Can work effectively as part of a small, dedicated team.
Has good communication skills and a positive "can-do" attitude.
Is reliable and punctual.St Helen's school values every member of staff.
