We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Fundraiser to play a key role in growing our community fundraising income and raising the profile of Beyond Dementia across Wiltshire.

This role focuses on building strong relationships with individuals, schools, community groups, and businesses, while planning, promoting, and delivering engaging fundraising activities and events. You will work closely with the wider Fundraising Team, and colleagues across the organisation to maximise impact and income.

Key information

Location: office location negotiable. Requires travel across Wiltshire

Salary: FTE (full time equivalent) £24,846 - £26,154

Please note the salary is the full time equivalent rate so the actual pay is pro-rata

Hours: 22 hours per week (some evenings and weekends will be required)

Mileage: paid at 45p

Training: comprehensive induction and ongoing training

Main Duties:

· Oversee agreed community fundraising events and campaigns.

· Work with the Head of Comms and Fundraising, and the Fundraising Team to maximise fundraising income.

· Engage with community members, schools, and local businesses. Build strong relationships and support them in achieving fundraising goals.

· Build on and develop corporate partnerships and Charity of the Year activity.

· Support challenge events, consult with providers and supporters and develop new opportunities.

· Promote fundraising activities through social media, email, and word-of-mouth.

· Help recruit and coordinate volunteers for fundraising activities.

· Track fundraising progress and assist with reporting.

· Research and implement opportunities for fundraising.

· Champion effective use of the fundraising database. Ensure all contacts and transactions are logged and up to date and provide reports as required. Support administrative colleagues to process donations efficiently.

· Monitor stocks of marketing materials, including Christmas cards, and manage timely replacement according to budgets.

· Manage fundraising equipment and collecting tins.

· Represent Beyond Dementia at external events and meetings, including giving presentations on the work of the organisation, including outside regular hours for which time off in lieu will be given.

· Work with Digital community fundraiser to Coordinate In Memory fundraising activities.

· Support and promote Beyond Dementia’s legacy campaign.

· Champion cross departmental working between fundraising and frontline services to ensure families, staff and volunteers are aware of how they can support the organisation.

· Provide ongoing support for community fundraising volunteers and ambassadors.

· Liaise with the Finance Administrator as necessary to ensure financial processes run smoothly including collating information about regular donors, restricted donations and BACs payments.

· Ensure all fundraising activities follow Funding Regulator guidelines and are in line with Beyond Dementia’s mission and values.
