About the role
As the Senior Project Officer – Sustainability your manager will be our Decarbonisation and Environment Manager. You will work 37 hours a week on a fixed term basis for up to 12 months, working flexibly in the Vico Homes operating area based our Head Office in Castleford.

We’re looking for an experienced sustainability professional to join our team and act as one of our subject matter experts enabling delivery of Vico Homes’s Sustainability Plan across the organisation to improve the sustainability of our communities, protect the environment and combat climate change.

As the Senior Project Officer - Sustainability you will specialise in ensuring that Vico Homes are compliant with all aspects of the Heat Network Regulations for our district and communal heating systems, so if you have strong project management skills and experience in heat networks, we would love to hear from you.


What you’ll do
You will be responsible for ensuring a programme of work is delivered and managed to ensure compliance with all aspects of the Heat Network Regulations, as well as supporting the wider delivery of key workstreams within the Sustainability Plan.


What we’re looking for
*A qualification at Level 4 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework in a relevant subject area.
*Excellent knowledge and understanding of sustainability, climate change and fuel poverty issues.
*Experience in the project management of sustainability-related projects, in particular related to heat networks/district heating systems.
*Excellent analytical, communication, time management and organisational skills.
