About us
Lympstone Pre School is a long-established setting, based in the heart of Lympstone Village, East Devon. We are run and led by a committee and a dedicated team of 17 employed staff and we have an exciting opportunity for someone new to join our amazing team.
We are open 50 weeks of the year (closed Easter and Christmas) and also provide the wraparound care for the village primary school, so the role will not only involve working with early years but children from 4-11 years.
What we are looking for
Hold a full and relevant qualification in Early Years education.
Will be passionate about inspiring awe and wonder in the children that we care for, and have a love for the outdoors.
Able to work as part as a team.
Able to ensure all necessary day-to-day duties are fulfilled such as maintaining cleanliness and preparing rooms.
An understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage Framework)
Good communication skills.
Have knowledge or show interest in the curiosity approach as we are predominately child led.
Able to work between the hours of 7:30am - 6pm Monday - Friday
The position will be a temporary Maternity cover, working a minimum of 16 hours a week on termly rota, term time only
