  Workforce Manufacturing are recruiting an experienced Crosshead Extrusion Setter to join a well-established and growing operation in West Bromwich. This is a long-term opportunity within a high-quality manufacturing environment specialising in coated wires, hoses, and pipes.

  If you have hands-on co-extrusion experience and enjoy working with materials like PVC, Polyurethane, Megalon, and Nylon, this role is built for you.

  The Role

  As a Crosshead Extrusion Setter, you will be responsible for:

  • Setting and running crosshead extrusion machines safely and efficiently

    
    

  • Carrying out tooling checks, adjustments, and routine maintenance

    
    

  • Inspecting incoming materials and finished products to strict quality standards

    
    

  • Recording production and quality data accurately

    
    

  • Maintaining a clean, organised workspace in line with 5S principles

    
    

  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives

    
    

  • Following all Health & Safety procedures at all times

    
    

  • Packing and preparing finished products

    
    

  • Supporting team members and assisting the Team Leader when required

    
    What We’re Looking For

    • Proven experience as an Extrusion Setter / Operator

      
      

    • Strong background in co-extrusion, wire coating, hose or pipe extrusion

      
      

    • Confident working with PVC, Polyurethane, Megalon & Nylon

      
      

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

      
      

    • Strong focus on quality, safety, and hitting production targets

      
      

    • Positive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement

      
      

      Please note: Blown film extrusion experience is not suitable for this role.
