Crynodeb
To support research within a primary care setting in liaison with the Lead Research Nurse and GP lead with working closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams and local research teams. To help identify patients eligible for research projects, and recruit patients into clinical trials or studies. To act as an expert in clinical research gathered from experience either rin primary acre or secondary care settings. Have an excellent knowledge base of all research frameworks and has the ability to maintain safety of participants at all times. To act as a participant advocate enabling participants to make informed choices concerning their involvement in clinical trials and other research studies and ensuring advice and information is provided. To maintain accurate documentation in research documents and patient notes. To sustain all data collection and case report forms relating to clinical trial in adherence to Good Clinical Practice and the Research Governance Framework. Undertake clinical/ patient-based tasks such as phlebotomy, processing of blood specimens, drug administration and clinical observation as required for studies.
