Engineering Shift LeaderLocation: Canary Wharf, LondonWorking Hours: 4 on / 4 off (7am – 7pm)Contract Type: Full time, permanentAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Engineering Shift Leader to oversee building services maintenance and infrastructure operations at a prominent Canary Wharf site. You will coordinate daily activities during your shift, ensuring safety, quality, and 100% uptime while leading a skilled team and managing contractor work.Key ResponsibilitiesLead on-site shift coordination between teams and contractors to maintain smooth operations.Operate and maintain building systems including BMS, electrical controls, fire safety, HVAC, UPS, and boilers.Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and site procedures.Support budget control, incident reporting, risk assessments, and method statements.Monitor plant and financial performance, promoting cost-effective maintenance.Develop and supervise the shift team, fostering professionalism and reliability.Required Experience & SkillsApprenticeship or equivalent trade qualification in building services.HV/LV Authorised Person certification (C&G 236 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent).18th Edition IEE Wiring & Installation qualification.Experience in critical services environments.Strong IT skills and fault diagnosis ability.Clear communicator and effective team leader.Reliable, calm under pressure, and self-motivated.Desirable Experience & SkillsBudget management and subcontractor coordination experience.Skilled in producing risk assessments and method statements.What We OfferPermanent role with a supportive 4 on / 4 off day shift schedule.Competitive salary and benefits.Opportunities for professional development and qualification support.Work within a committed, safety-focused team on a high-profile site.About UsWe are a leading multi-technical services provider dedicated to operational excellence and innovation in energy and infrastructure sectors.
