Job purpose:

As part of our continued growth, we are recruiting an Adult Weight Management Practitioner to join the expanding MoreLife UK team. This role is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven organisation where your work directly improves lives.

At MoreLife UK, we value compassion, respect, and person-centred care. You’ll be empowered to support individuals on their unique health journeys while contributing to a service that makes a meaningful and lasting impact across communities.

About the role:

As an Adult Weight Management Practitioner, you will deliver an evidence-based behavioural change programme for adults, supporting participants through weekly sessions and, where applicable, monthly maintenance phases.

You will plan and facilitate engaging, supportive sessions that inspire sustainable lifestyle change. Your enthusiasm for helping others, combined with strong organisational skills, will enable you to manage multiple responsibilities while providing high-quality support to clients throughout their journey.

Key responsibilities:

· Deliver and lead adult weight management groups, dedicating approximately 80% of your time to direct programme delivery.

· Implement a multi-component, action-focused programme that promotes engagement and long-term behaviour change.

· Apply psychological coaching approaches, including motivational interviewing, CBT-informed techniques, and mindfulness, to support participants in overcoming barriers.

· Facilitate interactive sessions focused on physical activity and healthy eating, helping participants set realistic and achievable goals.

· Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive environment tailored to individual needs.

· Maintain regular communication with participants, including follow-ups for non-attendance.

· Collect, manage, and report programme data, evaluating outcomes to support service improvement.

· Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times to protect participant wellbeing.

· Support administrative processes, including accurate record-keeping and client engagement.

About You:

You will be confident, organised, and passionate about supporting adults to achieve healthier lifestyles. This role requires regular travel to locations including Eastbourne, Crawley, Brighton, Worthing, Littlehampton, and Horsham, as well as building strong local relationships.

Essential skills and experience include:

· A degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant field such as Nutrition, Dietetics, Health Promotion, Education, Psychology, Physical Education, Sport & Exercise, or similar.

· Experience using motivational interviewing and CBT-based approaches, particularly when working with sensitive or complex issues.

· Experience delivering group facilitation or coaching with adults and/or children.

· Confidence in using IT systems for data entry, communication, and reporting.

· A driving licence is required

About Us:

All employees are required to complete a DBS check: enhanced checks for roles involving face-to-face contact with clients or vulnerable individuals, and basic checks for other roles. MoreLife UK does not sponsor visa candidates; sponsorship must be secured prior to applying.
