We are currently recruiting for a Customer Account Coordinator to manage our client accounts. The role involves taking and processing orders from our existing customers via telephone and email and providing excellent customer service. you will take responsibility for a portfolio of high-value corporate customers. These are long-term partnerships, not transactional relationships. You will influence revenue, margin, service standards, and how we work with customers.
You will be expected to think commercially, act with intent, and take responsibility for outcomes. If you value autonomy, accountability, and being judged on results rather than activity, this role will suit you.
You will work closely with, production, warehouse, sales and accounts to ensure what we promise is exactly what we deliver. When that alignment works, it builds trust, retention, and growth.
This role sits at the centre of the business and is a key function.
Experience within a business-to-business environment is preferred, but if you have experience in providing customer service or sales in a manufacturing environment via telephone and email we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Assistance: Respond to incoming customer inquiries promptly, efficiently, and courteously via phone, email.
Issue Resolution: Identify customer issues and concerns, troubleshoot problems, and guide customers through appropriate solutions. Utilise available resources and tools to resolve customer concerns before they happen.
Product/Service Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's products.
Up-Selling: Identify opportunities to promote additional products that will benefit the customer.
Growing and developing existing accounts
• Build strong, long-term relationships with corporate customers
• Own contracts, pricing structures, and ongoing account support
• Identify opportunities to grow accounts beyond routine ordering patterns through new products, services, and improved supply consistency
Forecasting and performance
• Forecast sales accurately, Track account performance against targets
• Produce clear, practical reports covering performance, trends, and opportunities
• Balance margin, risk, commercial terms against long-term partnerships with key customers.
Product and industry knowledge
• Build a strong understanding of our product range and its application across different industries
• Confidently advise customers on the right solutions for their operational needs
About You
You are commercially minded, relationship-driven, and comfortable taking ownership. You are a Professional Communication: Exhibit a friendly, empathetic, and professional communication style. Ensure that customers feel valued and respected throughout their interactions with the company.
You do not need to be the loudest salesperson in the room. You do need to be organised, credible, and confident managing conversations around price, service, and expectations.
You will bring:
• Experience in account management or B2B sales
• Experience from a manufacturing background, Ideally plastics/packaging.
• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM systems.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• The ability to think strategically about account growth
• Clear, confident communication, written and verbal
• A genuine customer-first mindset
• A collaborative, team-focused approach
Working hours are Monday - Thursday 08:30 -17:00 Friday 08:30 – 14:30
Salary depending on experience and Skills.
