Summary
Taking my daughter out for a walk around the park, to the library, the shopping centre, assisting her with snacks and drinks; toileting and assisting with her personal needs and showering her when needed.
Dropping her off early afternoon and collecting her in the evening from her day centre.
Dressing my daughter appropriately before going out and making sure you assist her at toilet times making sure she empties her bladder and to make note of the times.
Supervising whilst she's eating snacks or at meals times to avoid her overfilling her mouth. Whilst walking out making sure she's safe as she has no sense of danger or understanding, whilst walking please make sure her pathway is clear due to her visual impairment, she also has to walk on the inside of the pavement not on the roadside.
We are looking for someone who's patient, generally happy, friendly, reliable and enjoys working with young people with learning difficulties.
NVQ qualifications for young people with learning difficulties and autism. Experience working with young people with learning difficulties, autism, visual impairment and assisting with their personal needs toileting and showering is desired.
