  KPI Recruiting are currently recruiting for a skilled Upholsterer to join a well-established office furniture manufacturer based in Telford (TF7).

  This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced upholsterer looking for long-term, stable work within a professional manufacturing environment.

  Job Summary

  We are seeking an experienced Upholsterer with hands-on experience in soft office furniture, including chairs, sofas, panels, and workstations. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of producing high-quality work to commercial standards.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Upholster and re-upholster soft office furniture such as chairs, sofas, benches, and panels

    
    

  • Cut, sew, stretch, and fix fabric, leather, or vinyl accurately

    
    

  • Read and understand upholstery drawings, measurements, and work instructions

    
    

  • Repair frames, padding, springs, and foam as required

    
    

  • Ensure consistent quality, finish, and comfort standards

    
    

  • Operate upholstery tools and machinery safely and efficiently

    
    

  • Maintain a clean and organised work area

    
    

  • Work closely with production teams to meet deadlines and output targets

    
    Required Skills & Experience

    • Minimum 2 years’ upholstery experience (office furniture preferred)

      
      

    • Strong knowledge of upholstery materials, foams, fabrics, and finishes

      
      

    • Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination

      
      

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

      
      

    • Physically fit for manual work

      
      Desirable (Not Essential)

      • Experience with commercial or modular office furniture

        
        

      • Ability to work on custom or made-to-order furniture

        
        

      • Experience using industrial sewing machines

        
        Working Environment

        • Factory / workshop setting

          
          

        • Full-time role on a temp-to-perm basis

          
          Pay & Benefits

          • £14.50 per hour, rising to £15.50 per hour

            
            

          • Weekly pay every Friday
