The Learning and Development Support Officer role provides a specialised and comprehensive administration service in accordance with Departmental, Trust and National standards, policies and procedures. To act as a source of advice and guidance regarding a range of Learning & Development services.To co- ordinate and deliver Learning & Development events.

• To act as a senior point of contact to ensure all enquiries are effectively managed and successfully resolved within a prompt timescale, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are informed as necessary and an appropriate record is maintained. Responsible for reporting management information formally across the Trust.
• Provide Specialist administration support to the appropriate education and learning groups/ meetings. Including organisation, communication with required attendees, minute taking and agenda setting in collaboration with the chairs.
• Take the lead in planning and organising all aspects of the Trust Induction programme, including ensuring ICT requirements for new starters are provided as well as working with Subject Matter Experts to book wider Training and inductions courses for new starters across the Trust.
• As directed by the Learning and Development Management Team take responsibility for organising meetings, events and training sessions, working with key stakeholders across the Trust and the Integrated care Board.
• Co-ordinate Learning & Development events. Working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, booking venues and required resources, developing event materials, designing, facilitating and delivering sessions in a classroom or virtual environment.

• Line manages the Learning and Development Administrator, undertaking one to one, appraisal and performance management.

• To ensure, wherever possible, that all documentation is up to date and available whenever decisions are being made, reporting exceptional circumstances where necessary.
• To maintain effective collaboration with key stakeholders to maintain an efficient administrative system.
• To continually contribute to the Learning & Development and Workforce Agendas.
• Undertaking any project work to support the Learning and Development Team.
• Responsible for reporting management information formally across the Trust.
• Lead, maintain and monitor the use of the learning management systems for accuracy and reporting.
• Provide Specialist administration support to the appropriate education and learning groups/ meetings. Including organisation, communication with required attendees, minute taking and agenda setting in collaboration with the chairs.
• Take the lead in planning and organising all aspects of the Trust Induction programme, including ensuring ICT requirements for new starters are provided as well as working with Subject Matter Experts to book wider Training and inductions courses for new starters across the Trust.
• As directed by the Learning and Development Management Team take responsibility for organising meetings, events and training sessions, working with key stakeholders across the Trust and the Integrated care Board.
• To implement and maintain an efficient office management system/procedure to enable the Team to optimise their standards of service offered.
• In conjunction with Learning and Development Officers take the lead in arranging meetings/events.
• Lead on ensuring office equipment and stationery is maintained and processing orders as required.
• Co-ordinate Learning & Development events. Working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders, booking venues and required resources, developing event materials, designing, facilitating and delivering sessions in a classroom or virtual environment.
• Support team members, demonstrating and explaining Departmental practices and procedures.
• Responsible for providing timely statistical data from Electronic Patient Record (ESR)/ Oracle Systems to Senior Stakeholders.
• Able to interpret and provide detailed statistical data from Electronic Staff Record (ESR)/ Oracle systems to senior stakeholders to ensure business priorities are being met and risk is being managed.
• Lead the management and ongoing monitoring of employee learning records ensuring that appropriate job competencies are assigned and continue to be accurate.
• Able to receive, understand and interpret highly complex information and provide management information to the Learning and Development management Team.
• Maintain recording of budget spend, raising agreed purchase orders through the appropriate systems.
• Support and maintain an efficient office management system, adhering to audit requirements where necessary, including learning and development resources and training records
• Undertaking appropriate training and development with new and existing staff ensuring high standards of practice are maintained at all times.
