We currently working with a SEND School looking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team, working closely with their children and young people with complex special educational needs.
This school caters for children aged 4-11 years old that have severe learning difficulties, complex needs and an additional diagnosis of Autism.
Their experience team are committed to providing individualised learning plans and support to best help each child thrive.
About the Role as a Teaching Assistant:
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and a multidisciplinary team to support pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, severe and profound learning difficulties, communication needs, sensory needs and associated behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
- Supporting the delivery of personalised learning and care plans.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation.
- Supporting communication, social interaction and independence skills.
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists and families.
- Upholding safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working with children or young people with SEND - Essential.
- Is patient, resilient and empathetic, with a genuine passion for SEND education.
- Is confident supporting pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
- Has good communication skills and works well as part of a team.
