Are you an experienced SENCO looking for a role where your expertise genuinely shapes outcomes for young people? A well‑established secondary academy in Ilford is seeking a committed and proactive SENCO to join their team on a long‑term basis. What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and coordinating SEND provision across KS3-KS4
- Managing the SEND register, EHCP processes, annual reviews, and referrals
- Working closely with teachers to improve classroom practice and differentiation
- Overseeing assessments, interventions, and personalised support plans
- Building strong relationships with families, external agencies, and pastoral teams
- Contributing to whole‑school SEND strategy and staff training

What We're Looking For
- NASENCO qualification (essential)
- QTS (desirable)
- Strong understanding of secondary SEND needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, complex needs)
- Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills
- Calm, solutions‑focused, and able to lead with empathy and authority
- Someone who thrives in a collaborative, pupil‑centred environment
