Sodexo is seeking a friendly and reliable Barista to join our team in Yeovil, serving Starbucks Proud to Serve coffee. This role focuses on delivering a consistently high-quality café experience through the preparation, presentation, and service of beverages and food. You’ll provide excellent customer service, support the wider food services team when needed, and work in line with food safety legislation, company procedures, and brand standards to ensure client and customer satisfaction.
What you'll do:
- Prepare, present, and serve food and beverages to the required standards, ensuring dietary requirements and allergens are handled with care.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service, promoting a positive Sodexo image and responding appropriately to complaints or compliments.
- Support service periods by replenishing food, beverages, and equipment, and assisting with function catering, including setup, service, and clear-down.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and personal presentation, complying with Food Safety, Health & Safety, HACCP, COSHH, and company procedures.
- Carry out cleaning of utensils, equipment, and work areas, following a clean-as-you-go approach and ensuring temperature controls are monitored and recorded.
- Report incidents, defects, and safety concerns promptly, support opening and closing procedures, minimise waste, and undertake additional duties as required.
What you'll bring:
- Good numeracy skills, with previous catering experience
- Strong customer service skills, including till experience
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Front of house or relevant retail experience(desirable)
- Barista training or experience(desirable)
