Crynodeb

Are you practical, hands-on, and quietly proud of a job done properly?
Do you notice when things aren’t quite right — and actually fix them?
Do you believe that safe, warm, well-maintained buildings matter, especially for people rebuilding their lives?

Then this might just be your next job.

At Jimmy’s Cambridge, we provide gold-standard accommodation and 24/7 wrap-around support for people experiencing homelessness. Our buildings are more than bricks and mortar — they are homes, workplaces, and spaces of safety and dignity. We’re now looking for a Maintenance Operative to help us keep them that way.

This is a key role within our Operations team. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our sites across Cambridge, working both independently and alongside colleagues and contractors. From reactive repairs to planned maintenance, furniture builds to compliance checks — no two days will be the same.

About You

You will be an experienced and practical maintenance professional with a positive, can-do attitude. You’ll be organised, reliable, and comfortable managing your own workload, while also working collaboratively with colleagues and contractors.

You’ll share Jimmy’s values, understand the importance of professional boundaries, and be willing to be hands-on to get the job done. A full clean UK driving licence is essential.

Training and development will be provided, tailored to the needs of the successful candidate - but there is an expectation that you will already be experienced and skilled in maintenance.

How to Apply

To apply, please send your CV and a short covering letter to
