Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am – 4.00pm
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

About the Role
As part of our continued growth, Oakfield House School (part of Options Autism) is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Forest School & Activities Lead to join our team. This is a predominantly outdoor role where you will play a key part in delivering high-quality, engaging Forest School and outdoor learning experiences. Working closely with the Executive Head Teacher, Head of School and wider leadership team, you will help maintain high standards, support pupil development and promote a love of learning through outdoor education.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, assess and deliver engaging Forest School and outdoor learning activities aligned to the EYFS and National Curriculum
Work creatively as part of a team to provide a varied and inspiring programme of outdoor experiences
Support children’s learning through structured activities, independent problem-solving and creative play
Supervise pupils at all times, including lunchtimes and off-site visits where required
Manage and support staff involved in Forest School and outdoor activities, promoting the ethos of outdoor learning
Ensure the health and safety of all participants, including completing and reviewing risk assessments
Regularly check, maintain and safely use tools, equipment and outdoor resources
Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to continuous improvement across the school

About You
You will have:
Experience in working with children in education or play work
Experience in working with children with SEN
GCSE qualifications
