Crynodeb
The Parish Trust is seeking a reliable and practical Caretaker to support the day-to-day running of our community buildings.
This is a hands-on caretaking role, with cleaning and hygiene forming a significant part of the job, alongside basic maintenance, waste management, and supporting building use.
Key duties include:
Cleaning offices, halls, kitchens, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard
Ensuring bathrooms are hygienic, well stocked, and welcoming
Managing waste, recycling, and hygienic waste
Maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies
Carrying out basic DIY and maintenance tasks (repairs, painting, touch-ups)
Acting as a keyholder and opening/closing buildings for bookings
Liaising with contractors and travelling between sites
About the role:
Permanent position
Up to 10 hours per week, with overtime available by agreement
£13.45 per hour
Flexible working required, including occasional evenings/weekends
Full UK driving licence essential
The ideal candidate will be practical, trustworthy, flexible, and take pride in keeping community buildings clean, safe, and well maintained.
DBS check required.
