Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.30am to 8.30am
Join our team providing breakfast club care provision where children feel safe, supported, and inspired. If you’re organised, creative, and love working with children, this is your opportunity to make a real impact!
Breakfast Club operates from 7.30am to 8.30am, there may be opportunities for additional hours assisting with our After School Club, which runs from 2.45pm to 5.45pm, or working as a Bank Teaching Assistant during the day.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and well-being of all the children at all times.
Supervise children, engaging with them in aspects of play and conversation
Plan and lead craft activities
Meet and greet parents
Develop quality play and activities, ensuring the engagement of all children, specific to their individual needs through a variety of play opportunities.
Implement playworker principles and the EYFS statutory framework, and general childcare requirements.
Monitor homework activities, where appropriate.
Serving of prepared refreshments.
Ensure understanding and appropriate implementation of all the School’s policies and procedures. We would provide all the relevant training required; however, we do require the candidate to have good literacy and numeracy skills. The candidate should be motivated and enjoy working with children.
Complete training associated with this role i.e. food hygiene and paediatric first aid course.
Report any concerns e.g. health and safety, safeguarding or behaviour in accordance with the school’s policies.
What we are looking for:
Experience in childcare or education settings would be advantageous
Self-confidence and common sense
Adaptability and enthusiasm
Confidence in liaising with parents and external agencies.
Knowledge of safeguarding and Health & Safety
Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities for children.
