Administrator - Special Educational NeedsScale: Surrey grade 5 £27,634 to £29,604 (Pro rata minimum £13,207)Hours: 20 to 25 hours per week worked over 4 or 5 days Contact: Permanent, term time only (39 weeks per year including 5 INSET days)Start: ASAPSunnydown School is an oversubscribed and very successful Special School, catering for young men with Autism with high communication and interaction needs.We are looking for a term time only Administrator to join our team. You will work primarily with the Deputy Headteacher and the SENDCO to help coordinate and manage the Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision at the school.Main purpose of the SEND Administrator:To coordinate all administration throughout the school in relation to student’s Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and the annual review processTo provide administrative support to the SENDCO and Deputy Headteacher.To provide support to the administration team when neededRoles and responsibilities:Coordinate the annual review process for all students including scheduling and administration pre and post meetingsEnsure all annual review paperwork is completed, collated and submitted on timeEnsuring all annual review paperwork is sent to the relevant agenciesRead, check and note required provisions in EHCPs of new year 7’s/in-year placementsManaging and coordination of the year 6/7 transferManaging the year 7 induction processCheck a range of reports and editing as requestedAttend and take minutes at annual reviews when requiredLiaise with parents, outside agencies, local authorities and other stakeholders as necessaryAnswer enquiries, typing, send letters and reports to parents/carers and/or outside agenciesEnsure that whole school SEND information and student interventions are up to dateDeal with sensitive and confidential information in a professional wayAssist in the planning and preparation of SEND specific events as and when requiredUpdate SEN policy and the SEN information report in conjunction with the SENDCO.Any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Deputy Headteacher/SENDCOInterview date: ongoingContact: If you would like to arrange a tour of the school, please contact the Office.We reserve the right to withdraw this vacancy at any time ahead of the closing date if there is a good level of response.
