Lead Nurse (Registered Nurse) – £22–£23 per hour – 36 Hours – Day Shifts
This nursing home provides residential, nursing, dementia, mental health, and palliative care for adults within a well-established nursing home rated Good by the CQC. As the Lead Nurse you will have the day-to-day responsibility for a designated unit, combining hands-on clinical practice with leadership of the nursing and care team.

What You’ll Need
- Registered Nurse (NMC)
- Experience in a Senior Nurse or Unit Lead role within a nursing home
- Strong clinical knowledge of long-term and complex conditions
- Confidence with safeguarding, CQC standards, and clinical audits
- Ability to lead staff calmly and effectively during busy shifts
- Experience working across dementia, mental health, or palliative care settings
What You’ll Do
- Lead clinical care delivery across a designated unit
- Provide visible, hands-on leadership during shifts
- Support the Home Manager with quality assurance, audits, and compliance
- Supervise, mentor, and support nurses and care staff on the unit
- Oversee medication management, GP rounds, and clinical decision-making
- Complete CHC checklists and support DoLS/LPS processes
- Ensure care plans and risk assessments remain accurate and up to date
