Overview

We are recruiting for a leading manufacturer specialising in Springs & Pressings, and we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their dynamic team as a Trainee Pressings Manufacturing Operative. • Monday to Thursday: 07:40 - 16:25
• Friday: 07:40 - 12:10


Responsibilities

• Assist in the pressings manufacturing process, including the setting of power presses operating progression press tools.
• Shadow experienced team members and learn the intricacies of machine operation and maintenance.
• Perform machine minding tasks to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the mandatory use of ear defenders in the work environment.
• Participate in regular training sessions and appraisals to develop skills and progress within the role.

Qualifications

• No prior experience is required, although a background in engineering or manufacturing would be advantageous.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Day-to-Day

• Begin the day by preparing and setting up power presses for production.
• Shadow experienced operators to gain hands-on experience and knowledge of the manufacturing process.
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure optimal performance and address any issues under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all company protocols.
• Engage in one-to-one training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
