Summary
Welfare Rights Assistant - Glasgow (4-month contract, £35k)
Our housing association client in Glasgow, is seeking a Welfare Rights Assistant on a 4-month contract (with potential extension) to join their team ASAP.
The Role:
You'll provide expert welfare rights advice and support to tenants, helping them navigate benefits and entitlements within a supportive housing environment. You will also:
- Assist tenants with completing benefit applications and appeals
- Provide guidance on debt management and financial inclusion
- Work closely with housing officers to identify and support tenants in need
- Deliver workshops or one-to-one sessions on welfare rights where required
Requirements:
- Experience in welfare rights or related advisory roles
- Strong knowledge of Scottish benefits systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Location: Glasgow
