Are you enthusiastic, fun-loving, yet professional? If this sounds like you then this role could be perfect!

I am looking for a self-employed PA to provide live in support so that I can be as independent as possible in my everyday life. I would say that I am an ambitious young man with lots of interests and goals that I want to achieve. I have a passion for music and DJ regularly. I have previous travelled to Ibiza where I performed a DJ set at a club.

The self-employed PA would join a team of PAs who support me in fulfilling my work and passion which is DJ’ing all over the world. Being able to travel with me anywhere in the world for work would be part of the role, so having a valid passport would be essential. I will also have home jobs and events that will be late in the night, so flexibility to work alongside me at these times will be important.

I used to play the Paralympic sport ‘Boccia’ at a national level and now run my own disability sports coaching business. Any PA’s who support me will be required to assist the me in travelling to and from coaching sessions, along with providing physical assistance setting the session up. As a result, a clean driving licence will be required to drive my modified vehicle. License to drive both manual and automatic is desirable.

My cerebral palsy means that I need help with personal care, domestic tasks and generally maintaining a clean living space. The successful applicant will need to follow a daily cleaning routine that is already in place. This means a self-motivated and proactive PA is essential. You will have access to free Wi-Fi and separate space to store personal food. The bathroom would be shared between us. It is important that I find PA’s that can be flexible and creative so that they can help minimise the barriers that disabled people face and find ways to solves and deal with these challenges.

- Medication prompting/administering
- Personal grooming
- Eating and drinking assistance
- Moving and handling
- Other relevant duties as required

Candidate qualities:

- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful
- Creative
- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
- It is desirable that the PA is confident around technology.
- Full clean driving licence and happy to dive my adapted vehicle.
- Valid passport and willing to travel worldwide

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
