We are expanding our team and currently have an exciting opportunity to work as a nutrition support RVN at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals (sponsored by Purina) This position is ideal for an RVN keen to develop their nursing career and specialise, if not already, in Small Animal Nutrition.

You will work alongside highly skilled nurses, clinicians, residents, interns, and students to support the delivery of exceptional patient care. You will work closely with a board-certified veterinary nutritionist and a team of nurses in delivering advice and support for patients in a busy referral teaching environment. The role offers opportunities for training in nutritional nursing, alongside the development of a skill set that enables you to educate others and continually advance your own nursing practice, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of veterinary patients within an evidence-based nutritional framework.

This position is full time, working 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am and 8pm, with 1:4 Saturdays.

This is a fixed term contract for two years, the salary will be £31,829 in year one and £32,398 in year two.

Referral nursing experience is not essential as full training, and support will be given.

We offer a generous reward and benefits package including:

Competitive and attractive pension package
Generous 30 days annual leave (plus concessionary days and bank holidays)
Access to free in-house CPD and funded external CPD
On site café and restaurant
Free membership to the Fitness and Wellbeing Centre located on site (gym, badminton, climbing wall, Zumba, yoga and Pilates classes included)
