The Vascular department is appointing a vascular surgeon. The East Kent Vascular Department provides emergency and elective Vascular in-patient services, day case surgery, investigative procedures and outpatient Consultations. There is a full range of elective and emergency services for all aspects of an arterial centre’s vascular service.

The successful candidate will join a well-established unit with allied co-specialties including vascular surgery, 24 hours cover for interventional radiology and renal medicine on-site. The consultant on-call rota is 1 in 10 with full middle grade cover 24-7. We are a forward-thinking department with a young consultant body. Therefore, we are happy to consider adapting job plans to accommodate family and home life.

We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people. Our vision is 'great healthcare from great people'. Everything we do is guided by our values: 'People feel cared for, safe, respected and confident that we are making a difference’. We have a new way of working at East Kent Hospitals, called 'We care'. It's about empowering frontline staff to lead improvements day-to-day. We're looking for compassionate people to be part of our improvement journey for the patients, families and carers we care for every day.
