We have created an exciting new opportunity for an Estates Team Leader to manage and motivate a newly formed Estates & Caretaking Team, ensuring the Council effectively manages its estates, external areas, and communal blocks of flats and shared spaces. You will be responsible for managing 9 staff to deliver our day-to-day housing estate services, regular inspections of communal areas internally and externally, ensuring high standards for residents/tenants, overseeing daily estate maintenance, grounds maintenance and other contract work, unkept gardens, minor repairs, communal areas, fly tipping and refuse issues on our estates. You will be proactive by way of regularly checking and inspecting our estates and with other departments, partners, and contractors for a seamless service delivery, maintaining a positive relationship with residents and resolving/handling complaints on the estate that may arise, including with empty properties, and ensuring health and fire safety compliance.
You will ideally have experience of working within a similar field/environment, an understanding of social housing and issues and services, and working in a Team Leader/supervisory role.
