This is a permanent post as 0.6 WTE band 8a clinical specialist dietitian who will work closely with a senior physiotherapist and clinical psychologist to deliver and further evaluate and develop the service for people with kidney disease who are medically fit to enter the kidney transplant list, but require to lose weight. This post was originated following a successful grant request to the NHS England but now has permanent funding. The successful candidate will hold a clinical caseload and be responsible in delivering and developing the service working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team. As a clinical specialist dietitian you will act as an independent clinical specialist dietitian leading and supporting this project by being responsible for the data collection and communication with the management team as well as commissioners.

You will be responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a new service delivery for people who have kidney disease, medically fit to enter the transplant list but need to lose weight. You will be responsible for a number of patients who will be regularly followed up over the course of their intervention. The role is flexible with some home working and face to face duties. You will work as part of the a dynamic and proactive MDT . Experience in working in weight loss and renal is essential. The role will be based at the City Campus as well as at our satellites units and you will be responsible in ensuring the delivery of this including looking at different ways of working and thinking innovatively.



As an autonomous clinical specialist dietitian, you will be responsible for ensuring safe practice through development of a caseload management plan and to identify treatment priorities in a variety of situations. You will provide expertise and input into the strategic planning and implementation of multidisciplinary clinical guidelines, care pathways and protocols within the trust, in line with national and regional guidance within specialist areas of practice
