Burton Addiction and O’Connor Centres (BAC) is an award winning organisation which offers support to individuals with drug and alcohol problems in a range of settings including detoxification and residential rehabilitation, recovery housing, social enterprises and community based therapeutic services.
We are looking for an experienced, dedicated Nurse – RGN/MNH to join our team, working on a rota of days and nights, who will ensure the highest standards of clinical care is delivered to our residents. We can promise that you will use your variety of skills in a unique environment where no two days are ever the same and the biggest reward is knowing you have played a pivotal role in making a positive difference in people’s lives
The role includes:
· Working with a team of experienced support workers, NMPs and other nursing staff
· Assessing our residents health and wellbeing needs
· Developing your own knowledge and skills and that of others
· Promoting best practice in health, safety and security
· Assisting in maintaining and developing services
· Using your variety of skills to support our residents with a range of complex needs and dependency levels
· Ensuring the ongoing safety of our residents through systematic assessment, monitoring and review processes.
· Supervising others and building effective relationships
You will:
· Have an active NMC Registration (PIN number)
· Possess excellent written and oral communication skills and evidence of recent clinical practice
· Be passionate about working with our residents
· Have a proven ability to write comprehensive care plans
· Be organised
· Be willing to learn
· Be used to working in teams with minimal supervision
