Crynodeb
The post is a key component of the Children and Young People Directorate's governance support. You will work as part of a small dynamic team to support and facilitate a number of key governance processes ensuring that an open culture of continuous improvement is fostered.
The post holder will be required to provide high quality governance support to a range of staff across the Directorate, covering the range of governance functions delivered by the Children and Young People Governance Team.
The Post holder will specifically play a pivotal role in the identification and assessment of risk, analysis of incidents, dissemination of internal and external advice and guidance and training. The post will support a managed and co-ordinated approach to the implementation of and compliance with best practice guidance, such as NICE guidance; legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, Standards, guidance, and alerts from NHSE, HSE, CFSMS, MHRA, NHSLA, DoH, HCC and others. The post holder will support the Directorate’s mortality review processes, and will be instrumental in monitoring implementation of Directorate action plans arising from a range of governance activities.
This post will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in the area of governance with a clear career path to a senior Governance Management position.
The post holder will report to the Governance Lead for the Children and Young People's Directorate.
• Facilitate risk register review and escalation of significant risks.
• Facilitate patient experience processes, with particular emphasis on the young service user group.
• Facilitate mortality review processes.
• Produce reports to inform key committees and groups.
• Support Directorate governance meetings ensuring that assurance is generated, risks are escalated and good practice is shared across the Directorate.
