The Junior Technical Engineer is the engine room of our technical capability — a hands-on problem solver, a trusted expert, and a relentless force for progress. This role is not just about fixing issues; it's about elevating standards, pushing boundaries, and being the go-to authority when precision and performance matter most.As a Junior Technical Engineer, you'll be the architect of solutions and the guardian of quality. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers and seniors alike, translating complex challenges into elegant, efficient outcomes. Your technical mastery will be matched by your curiosity and drive to continuously improve — not just systems, but people and processes too.
You'll be the one who:
•Leads by doing — setting the bar for technical excellence through your own work.•Mentors with purpose — guiding engineers with clarity, patience, and a passion for growth.•Innovates with intent — always looking for smarter, faster, safer ways to deliver.•Owns the detail — from diagnostics to deployment, you'll ensure nothing is left to chance.•Champions collaboration — working across teams to align efforts and amplify impact.
You'll also play a key role in:•Supporting the Senior Engineer and leadership team with technical insight and operational know-how.•Delivering day to day service in the region at the highest levels•Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance our engineering capability.•Taking ownership of technical escalations and ensuring swift, sustainable resolutions.
Main duties (not limited to)•Keep on top of our audits and compliance and ensure these are done in the due month every time. Or as directed by the senior engineer•Assist the Senior, RPS & REM as needed!•Coach engineers in awareness: e.g. what is and is not 2nd person job, use of Verisae, high quality dockets.•Work with Senior & RPS on docket quality.•Take part in stage 1 interviews from a technical standpoint.•Drive information on quoting tool, so works can be completed by anyone, and work can be defended.•Ensure we are providing the best info on the quoting tool as these go directly to our customers, you coach and mentor engineers on improving this to the highest levels
Person SpecificationEssential•Basic Line management skills•Working knowledge of current standards and codes of practice•Critical thinking skills•Highly self-motivated and dependable.•Be highly Adaptable and have a willingness to work in a flexible fashion.•Good written and verbal communication skills•Ability to asses' technical risk
