Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?We're looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants in Northampton to join inclusive and welcoming primary and secondary schools across the local area. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills within a supportive, well‑resourced school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning strategies.
- Create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment that promotes inclusive education.
- Support pupils with communication, sensory, behavioural, and emotional development.
- Assist with classroom organisation, tailored learning activities, and progress monitoring.
What We're Looking For
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting children with SEN.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), or supporting children with additional needs is highly desirable.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is an advantage but not essential.
