An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving, purpose built small animal veterinary practice in Nottingham. This modern, well-equipped clinic offers outstanding facilities and advanced diagnostic technology, enabling the delivery of exceptional veterinary care across both medicine and surgery. The practice is busy, well-established, and designed to support high clinical standards while providing an excellent working environment for veterinary professionals.
The practice is staffed by a supportive and experienced veterinary team, including multiple Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses, creating a collaborative and positive workplace. There is a strong emphasis on teamwork, mentorship, and continuous professional development, with generous CPD support and encouragement for further qualifications and certificates. Two of the current vets are already undertaking certificate level training, making this an ideal opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to develop a special interest in soft tissue surgery or orthopaedics within a forward thinking practice.
This Veterinary Surgeon job in Nottingham offers a varied role with a balance of consultations, surgical procedures, and case follow-ups. The successful candidate will help drive and develop the caseload and will be confident working both independently and as part of a team. The role includes some sole charge responsibilities during evenings and weekends, making it well suited to a confident Veterinary Surgeon with at least three years’ UK clinical experience, particularly in surgery. Clinical autonomy is encouraged, with excellent support available when needed.

The Rota
• Full time, 39 hours a week
• Mix of early, mid and late shifts (8am - 5:30pm, 9am - 6:30pm, 9:30am - 7pm & 11:30am - 9pm)
• 1:4 weekends, 9am - 3pm
